Plant a sapling at Winkworth Farm

For every Wedding held, a native tree sapling is planted...
Over the last year, Winkworth Farm have planted more than 100 trees & saplings, even managing to fill some of the gaps in the historic hedges, in various locations across the farm. These include, Hawthorn, Field Maple, Blackthorn & Hazel. We have also bought some 2 metre trees so they are well established including, Silver Birches and Poplar Trees to create a windbreak around the car park, with two Acer Trees ‘Crimson King’ & two Oak trees and a Betula (Silver Birch) ‘Snow Queen’ for some specimen examples.

We have also planted along the drive Malus, (Flowering crab) as the wildlife love the blossom and fruits throughout the year, along with Sorbus Copper Kettle, (Mountain Ash) & Crataegus, (Hawtorn Trees). Plans are now being made for next Winter & the planting season.
